WARNING ABOUT POSSIBLE SCAMMING BY MIKE/BRAVURASPEED

Hi guys

Just wondered if anyone here has ordered carbon parts from Mike at Bravura speed and if so, how long they took to get to you? I've got a carbon grille coming, which Mike has apparently dispatched and should have been here over a week ago. However, still nothing at this end and despite my requests, Mike hasn't been able to give me tracking details.

I know his wife hasn't been that well of late, so that won't be helping matters :( . Having said that, I noticed he was on here this morning (see below), which is odd as he knows I'm waiting for info :???: Mike, if you read this, can you please get in touch?

I ordered my mugen wind deflectors from him.
They were held at customs and i was charged import fees.
i was given tracking info and Mike kept in touch regulary.
Id buy from him again.
Let us know what happens

Thanks Danny - I hope I don't get charged import fees as I hadn't factored those into the equation :( Do you remember how long the deflectors were held at customs for?

I've heard good reports about Mke so I'm sure there's an explanation and he'll be in touch soon

I am sure Mike has got a genuine reason for not getting in touch. As for customs, with the strike also your bits could get delayed for a couple of weeks.

Yep, I don't think the strike yesterday will have helped if it's at customs. Maybe I should ask Jeremy Clarkson to pop down and get things moving... 😉

No problem!
Think delivery times would have been weeks but was 3 in total as customs had it for a extra week.
They were really slow processing the fees etc.

I've had 3 transactions with mike. No problems, although I think 3/4 weeks was about normal delivery Time scale.
Custom charges you should factor in vat and 4% import duty on parts. Just in case!
I will be buying again, just saving the pennies.

Another vote for the damn custom guys holding it back.

Look forward to seeing the grille though as im thinking of buying one at the moment.
 
BravuraSpeed - getting worried now...

Well, an update on my earlier thread about Mike at BravuraSpeed. As you may be aware from my earlier thread, I ordered and paid £260 via bank transfer for a carbon grille from Mike. It was supposed to land here around 23rd November but so far nothing. What's concerning me more however is that despite recent attempts to contact Mike by email and PM for tracking details, I have heard nothing in reply - bizarre because he was active on this forum this morning...

Mike, can you please do me the courtesy of getting in touch ASAP?? - just a quick email, PM or text however brief would help put my mind at rest

This is my first purchasing experience from BravuraSpeed and so far, it is not proving a particularly happy one :(

Have you tried him through Facebook? He normally comes back pretty quick

Hi Allen - tried calling the mobile number above; rang a few times then it came back with 'number unavailable' message. Will try Facebook but if he's not getting back to me having been on this forum, I'm not sure I'll have anymore success there. All very mysterious as others have found Mike to be a good guy to do business with :???:

Hi guys,

Like has already been mentioned, I've had a couple of personal issues with my pregnant wife not doing too good the last fortnight, so my head has been very much elsewhere, with us practically living in the hospital.

Although none of this is your problem so its not an excuse.

Where we stand so far is I will be talking to my shipper in a few hours as yesterday (Monday) was the kings birthday so everywhere is closed.

I apologise for my tardiness as its not acceptable, I'll have your answer for you today. I'm expecting customs is being the issue so I'll get to the bottom of it.

Hi Mike - thanks for getting in touch and for the email you sent. I was aware that your wife had not been great and I hope very much she's managing to make a full recovery.

Thanks too for looking into the shipping status for me - I'll await to hear in due course.

Just a quick update - Mike chased things up for me and apparently the grille has been held at customs. As a gesture of goodwill, Mike kindly offered to pay the customs duty :-D Only thing is, still no grille arrived as yet - I think it's gonna be a case of seeing is believing...!
