Thought i'd best start a build thread as i've owned the car a couple of months now.

Pretty much standard but I have parts on the way to fix that

Treated to a minor detail this morning. The sun went in just as I went to do pics. Nice to finally get some wax on it though

Excuse the wax dust on this one

It came with:

Touchscreen Kenwood headunit
Hondata Group N
HKS Panel Filter
AST Suspension

Since it's been in my possesion, i've added the Mugen grille and changed the wiper blades and pollen filter (insanely priced pollen filter I might add)

I have on the way to me:
FEEL'S Half Titanium catback
Seeker intake
Mugen Wind Deflectors

That should keep me pleased for a little while
Thanks for looking

Looks very nice. I do like them in blue.

Your setup would benefit from a decat. I had a Hondata GroupN ECU on mine for a while and adding the de-cat made a nice improvement. More than I expected. I've sold a few to some of the chaps on here and have a couple left. Let me know if you're interested.

Looks great Alex! Best colour too 😉

Thanks :). Forgot to say I had the rear tints done as well. Much nicer to drive when the sun makes an appearance.

Thanks Jon, I am considering one of your decats as it happens. I know you said the gain was minimal but i'm hoping to get a header in future and swap the ECU with someone here for a standard ECU so I can get Flashpro and a map at eurospec.

My Mugen Wind Deflectors or Door Visors as Mugen call them arrived from Tdi North today. Instructions had the worst diagrams i've ever seen and it's obviously all in Japanese but I figured it out 😉 . Looks much better IMO and I prefer them to the Honda Access ones

Glad you went for the Mugen wind deflectors over the OEM, looks much better!
Looking forward to hearing the Feels and Seeker intake!

The gain from your current Hondata GroupN setup plus a decat will not be massive of course but certainly noticeable from memory. It's a nice cheap improvement.

I'm thinking of selling my TODA racing manifold at the moment because I'm considering going the SC route. With FI I don't think I'm getting any real benefit of the TODA which is optimised for NA.

Rotrex or Eaton Jon?

Rotrex. More efficient, more NA feel, no slug of power/torque from low-down causing traction issues plus has an air intercooler plus oil cooler for the SC itself. It will be a TTS supplied one (but Eurospec mapped). Felt good when I drove JohnJDM's earlier setup.

Agree with all of that - I sometimes struggle to find traction in 3rd around about peak torque (180lb/ft @ 5000rpm) so a gradual torque build at higher revs can only be a good thing. Will you use the kit with TTS manifold or a bottom mounted kit that allows you to use the RRC?

I actually spoke to Tom at TGM about supercharging the other day and it's put me right off. 100% staying n/a.

My decat has arrived, thanks to jonster for this :)

Eagerly awaiting my other parts now so I can get them all fitted.

Glad it arrived quickly Alex.

Cat-back looks very nice.

Hope you get your intake soon. Please post up some pics of it because I've yet to find a decent Seeker intake pic from the net.

Thanks Jon :)

The catback and intake should be with me Wednesday all being well. Weather dependent I shall try and fit the intake Thursday evening after work and post pics.

Can i ask why supercharging your FD2 has put you off? I was maybe thinking of going this route also one day when i get an FD2??

My parts are due tomorrow, my Seeker intake arrived with the importer yesterday

Can't wait to get both parts fitted.

I fitted the decat pipe on Sunday, the car feels a lot more urgent in vtec. Good little mod.

Looks good Alex. Interesting to see how it performs half sharing the brake cooling duct intake area (as opposed to the TODA / M&M replacing the duct). Might be a good compromise.

FEEL'S is on, looks awesome, doesn't stick out too far and fills the cutout nicely. Didn't finish it til 11pm so didn't start it up as I have no idea how loud it is yet but I have obviously removed the bung.

The Seeker intake I will attempt after work tomorrow, it's a bumper off job and I need to cut a hole in the brake duct for the pipe to sit in.

Big thank you to Matt at Injection Imports for getting these to me quickly and the free JDM snacks are always a nice touch :)

A couple of very rushed pics of the exhaust I took this morning

Also, my Seeker intake is on . I apologise for the poor pics but it's dark out.

First job was obviously to remove the bumper so I could remove the OEM resonator box.

Next job was to prepare the brake duct as unlike the M&M Honda and Toda scoops, this kit retains functionality of the duct.

Luckily Seeker provide a template for the job:

20121004_194619.jpg
.

I used a Stanley knife to draw the outline and found the plastic soft enough to cut through so carried on.

Fitted the air duct in place and bolted it up and carefully slid the brake duct into place.

Put the bumper back on and the duct is in a prime position for airflow

Back up top, the K&N panel filter slipped in perfectly and it was time to fit the lid. Vs. the OEM lid it is enlarged and smoothed

Transferred the decal and that's job done :)
