I really have a softspot for DC5's

Will look forward to having a look at the video when I get off my works network.

I do miss my DC5 :(

I am not sure if letting go of the steering wheel either on the road or a track, is recommended driving etiquette.

was just a snap reaction , if i didnt let go i would have span or rolled, which is alot worse etiquette than letting go of the wheel!
if you ever tracked a dc5 you will know how tail happy they are

Tracked 500+hp RWD and AWD cars and never let go of the steering wheel.

Each person has there own way of driving though

its got nothing to do with my way of driving, was a case of do or die. if youve never had to let go of your steering wheel then you arent pushing hard enough

Thanks for sharing the video!

Guys relax and be open to different opinions......
To be honest it didn't look to me "a case of do or die". Moreover I would say that the whole reaction of the car was initiated by the wrong timing in gear change, which in return compromised the way you were holding the steering wheel.

Regarding the way of steering......from my small experience only some drifters let go of the wheel and in such case the angle of slip that their car has is quite big.

And of course there is always a personal element in the way we drive. This is not bad it's just the way it is.
