Hi, here is my little incident at the ring and the resulting repair work.
To start with
resulting in.

Thankfully no damage to the main structure or subframe. The same however cannot be said about the left side suspension. I took the opportunity however to upgrade. I went for Buddy Club Race Spec dampers loads of adjustment and excellent build quality especially considering the price. I'd planned on getting these any way. I also had to replace my adjustable rear camber arms, I went for the Buddy Club option once again. Both shocks bent. Rear bottom Arm and front tie bars. Luckily no damage to the drive shafts that we can see, feel or hear.

I found a Civic Hybrid FD2 bottom arm from a scrappy, see above. Almost the same minus some beefing up on the Type R, It fits at any rate. It will do for now at least. ETA on a proper one would be end of september. The same for front tie bar, half is the same as the hybrid (£15 from auto parts) half isn't (£50 from Honda).

Lots and lots of nice bits there, can't believe how much has been bent though. Glad the bits bent and not the chassis.

Oh dear, at least you use your FD2 on track unlike me..

You must have been gutted though when you was heading towards to barrier :panic:

Looks like from the pics you have her up & running in no time

Good effort dude and nice write up. Not sure i would be using the hybrid bottom arm bu tif its only temporary then fair enough! Look forward to hearing you have it back on the road!

Really sorry to hear and see that the day ended early for you, Glad everyone was ok in the car, also glad to see everything getting repaired/ improved :-D

Looks like some very very nice kit going on to the FD2

Was this on a TF or a trackday there?

Nice selection of new toys. Looking forward to seeing the weight saving results of all the carbon goodies too.

More and more stuff orientated for track use! Following closely the development of a future track monster :-D

Carbon fibre doors or not? That is the question. Why have 2 boring old honda doors when you can have 4 carbon fire ones for twice the price that's what I say.

If you go carbon doors you should put a roll cage in as carbon doors have no side impact protection 😉

One of the best places you could go really. Only thing is that to cage the FD2 properly you need to butcher the dash, by the sounds of things though i doubt that will put you off 8)
