Hondata FlashPro

That's sound like music to my ear....... and there is no need to take off the ECU.....so no problem with the warranty!!! 👏 👏
Let's keep an eye on the hondata site for the training videos and on the hondata forum for more info.....

One more thing to add to the budget.

FD2....a way to spend money but not regret it!!!

All sounds like good stuff. I like the fact that is seems you can restore your OEM ECU to the stock map if you want. Hence, no real need to have a spare ECU.

There shouldn't be any significant training over and above the KPro to understand.

I thought CPL were the sole UK distributors but I may be out of date.

I hope the UK price will not be too steep.

Group buy anyone??????? :-D

I would really be tempted for a group buy.
Which companies were good in programming the Kpro? TDI-north? CPL?

Not sure we need a group buy per se, unless you want to do your own programming. I would expect all the big tuners to have these in their "toolbox" shortly.

I get the impression from my late night read about this last night, that you need to own a FlashPro which is ties itself to your ECU....

From the Hondata Forum:-

Q. So does that mean 1 unit Hondata flashpro can only work with one ecu or car only? Which mean i can't buy one set flashpro and use it together with a few of my buddies civics?
A. One ECU and vehicle at a time. You can unlock the FlashPro by returning the ECU to stock, and then transfer to another vehicle.

They have got to make money somehow.

Maybe the tuners will have an unlocked version they can map any number of ECUs with. Who knows at this stage. Personally I want to be able to part throttle road tune my car to perfection in my own time and just pay for tuner/dyno time for max power WOT mapping.

Exactly group buy and then pay someone just for the programming....
By the way i know a guy back in my country, who is very good with the Kpro-honda combination and he visits london often.
Which companies specialize in this combination?

I only trust Paul @ TDI to map my Honda, I will be taking it to him when the full Kpro comes out, he bleeds K20A. :-D

Zero7 how do you know that there is going to be a "full Kpro" for the FD2? From all the links posted above hondata doesn't imply something like this. They mention that flashpro is the tool for the Fd2 at the moment (to my understading at least). Someone correct me if i am wrong.

My understanding is that the FlashPro is intended to be the "K-Pro solution" for the K20A.

However, Paul @TDI-N is still the man for mapping.

EDIT - K20A? I mean FD2. That'll teach me to try and type while in the middle of config checking :D

agreed

Ooooooo
Now this is what I've been waiting for.

Can't wait to see the improvements that can be made.

Bring on June...

great. Anyone ordered one yet? The rules around the discount if you have the existing reflash unit are a bit interesting...

Whether we'll actually see that discount in the UK is open to debate.

However, I'll be going back to Paul @ TDI-North when the time comes.
